This activity is self-guided but a support vehicle is included.
Puerto de Las Palomas is a paved mountain pass connecting the mountain towns of Grazalema and Zahara de las Sierra, both of which are recognised as two of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
The start point for the Las Palomas Pass Easy Route starts above the town of Grazalema, near the summit of the pass, creating a short uphill section before the long descent from Las Palomas Pass.
Once you have reached Las Palomas, you will have reached the route's highest point and the uphill section will be complete.
From Las Palomas, you will descend gradually through the Grazalema Natural Park for 15km passing through the town of Zahara de las Sierra, where you will have the opportunity to stop for a drink and take in some beautiful views of the lake. From the Zahara you will continue to descend, finishing the other side of the local dam.
The route passes many 'Miradores' which are viewpoints of interest and it has been designed for you to take in the breathtaking views from height. It is important to consider this route is on fully paved roads but you will reach a height of over 1100m above sea level.

10:00 - Arrive at the start point (Grazalema) for briefing and preparation
10:15 - Start cycling
13:15 - Arrive at the finish point (Zahara-El Gastor Reservoir)
13:30 - Leave Algodonales
14:15 - Arrive back at the meeting pointoint

Any cycling excursion, easy or challenging, should still be treated the same in regards to preparation. For you all the difficult stuff like maintaining the bicycles and planning the routes have been done, so all you need to do is come prepared with suitable clothing for cycling (padded shorts are not necessary but recommended), hydrated and fuelled (have breakfast and drink water), bring suncream/sunscreen and most importantly expect to have an awesome day.
Transportation from a pre-arranged pick-up point.
Bicycle rental, helmets and a bottle of water.
Support (the driver will remain close to the route with the vehicle).

Our van is a Ford Tourneo Courier with air con and 5 seats including the driver, the three seats in the rear can be a little snug with 3 big people, so bear that in mind when booking for a group of 4 people.
All day tours are refundable up to 24 hours before the activity start time.
Within 24 hours of the activity start time you will not be provided a refund.
